When I started working as a TV host I thought…”this is fun” but i didn’t know that after a few months I would have to learn a lot about television and how much time and dedication I would have to put into it… Everything seams like it was going to fall on my head but I grab the books and sad down in front of my computer and in six weeks, I was giving the public channel my first TV show… done it all by myself… I have been doing this TV show now for more than 2 years now and I really enjoy editing and all the creativity involved in it. The only problem is that when you own your own show you have to wear all the hats… Journalism not only involve being pretty in front of a camera; it also involve marketing, sales, advertising or sponsorship, other people for sure… like a camera men, director, production assistant, photographers, lights, and most of all equipment and very expensive equipment. As a journalist you also have to deal with what the TV channel is asking for… money, time to bring your finish show to the station, and the content of your show… If there is anything in the content of your program that they don’t like, they will ask you to take it off and change that… or they simply won’t air it… The other part of journalism is that when you are doing a job that is for the good of the community, many people take advantage of your good intentions, your kindness and your good heart…. Some people want you to do something for free and don’t think of what it takes to put a TV show together, especially when you have learned everything from the books with very little help… There is no recognition for your efforts or your talent, much less for your time; your precious time. I have always worked hard in my life and I have always said that life is a dream… but don’t let it be a dream… make it happen! Journalism came into my life for a reason and now I am doing my best to make this dream of Journalism come true for myself and others! Have a great blogging day!
